With six Toronto Music awards and hundreds of song placements in television and film under her belt, Clara Lofaro is redefining what it means to be a pop singer and in-demand songwriter. Lofaro, whose career began as the featured soloist in her local church and community theater, has broken new ground and reached new highs with the release of her first single “Can’t Help Us” from her upcoming EP “More Than I Am”.

Raised by Italian immigrants, Clara interned at a recording studio in her native Toronto before relocating to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. Anxious to sink her teeth into the New York City music scene, Clara completed her four year degree in 2 years.

New York City’s energy and power were the perfect compliment for Clara’s pure talent and fierce drive. She has performed alongside Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, Kimberly Locke, and Jeffrey Gaines and was the vocalist in the Disney Super Bowl commercial singing, "When You Wish Upon a Star" featuring MVP players of the NFL team.

Performing throughout the world with her band and as a solo artist, Lofaro’s Songstress Pop captures her unique take on her generation, while paying homage to the great songwriters she so admires.

Clara’s ability to write hits, both for herself and others has proven successful again and again. American Idol finalist Erika Van Pelt released four of her songs, Maddy Ziegler (SIA) won Dance Moms to Clara’s passionate performance of, “Send Me A Lifeline”, and shows such as The Voice, The Tonight Show, Young & the Restless, American Idol and many more are using CL tunes as their backdrop. Vanity Fair Napkins chose Lofaro's single, “Just Smile” (from her Self Titled LP) as the theme song for their, “Wipe On A Smile” national commercial campaign. The commercial ran for four years. Her follow up single, “Born to Love You” hit #21 on Billboard’s Club Play chart.

After being offered a publishing deal with NYC’s indie label, Antifragile Music/Kobalt in 2018, Antifragile quickly followed with a record deal after being blown away by the music Clara was submitting. Lofaro and producer, Uri Kleinman (Martha Wash, Darlene Love) packed his LIC, Queens studio up driving cross country to LA to record, “More Than I Am” in January this year. The first single “Can’t Help Us” is out now, and the EP is scheduled for release in the fall 2019.
